When I click on control panel, I get an error windows stating that windows exployer has stopped running and it trys to restart, then control panel window goes away therefore I cannot get to the control panel to correct problems that come up, such as delete a program

If the issue first occurred recently, you can run System Restore to see if the issue can be resolved. If the issue persists, access Clean Boot to check the issue. If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, you can continue to narrow down which entry is causing the issue. Also, you can use ShellExView to disable third party extension of Windows Explorer by the steps below to check the result: 1. Open the "C:\ShellExView" folder and double-click the "shexview.exe" file. It will scan the registry for all the shell extensions. 6.
